A photo of me, as the sign says, at the highest spot in Thailand at 2,565metres, which is almost twice as high as Ben Nevis which stands a 1,344metres above sea level, with my head stitched up and sporting my new f2.8 lens.
There's a lovely flower market in Chiang Mia, Ton Lamyai, which presented me with the ideal opportunity to buy a small gift for the Hotel Staff and Shop Staff who had helped me after my accident. I've got a Thai friend who is a trained flower arranger and I got her to make up a couple of flower baskets for me. The look of delight and the humbling gratitude of the girls that I gave them too, as my way of saying Khaawp Khoon Khrap (thank you), almost brought a tear to my eye. It's no wonder they call Thailand the land of smiles.
